Webinar: The Real Holiday Grief is….. – Dec 19
Posted by Philadelphia FIGHT on December 6, 2022
The belief in “seasonal depression” or the “holiday blues” can prime an individual with a depressive mindset, effectively becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy. Moreover, cultural myths and SAD aside, there are many valid reasons to experience profound grief during the holiday season. More hours are spent indoors, the world is visibly dormant (dead), the end of the coming year often gets us thinking about ‘endings’ in a broader sense, and because families often get together around the holidays, they can serve as a lightning rod for reminiscence on those who have been lost. Let’s end this series by talking through what some of this looks like and how to prepare for it.
This webinar is part of the Community Health Training Alliance December Grief and Loss Series for 2022.
