Webinar: Regional Financial Institution Roundtable: Future Bankers and Financial Professionals Summer Camp 2025 – Jan 28

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) will host a virtual regional roundtable to explore the interest of area financial institutions in becoming active partners in the Future Bankers and Financial Professionals (FBC) Camp scheduled to start in July 2025.  Presenters will provide an overview of FBC, a collaboration between the Center for Financial Training, the National Academy Foundation (NAF), and high schools to place high-achieving, minority students from low- and moderate-income (LMI) areas on the path to careers in the financial services industry.  Attendees will learn how they can support the program’s efforts to provide students with work experience at financial institutions and intensive classroom instruction on financial education and career readiness.

When:  Tuesday, January 28, 2024, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Who should attend: Financial institutions, local and state government, CDFIs, non-profit organizations, workforce development agencies, and other stakeholders interested in identifying collaborative opportunities that tap into the talent of high-achieving minority students from low-income areas by providing them with real-life experiences and a clear and promising career path in the financial services industry.
