Thursday, February 19, 2015
3 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
This session will be presented by Michelle Nutter, Safe Schools Manager and Leah Galkowski, Safe Schools Coordinator for the Center for Safe Schools.
Teen Dating Violence, a form of peer abuse that affects school-aged students, is both prevalent and under-reported. Many incidents take place at school, yet even those that take place off campus still impact the learning environment. This session will provide attendees with important information to prevent, identify and respond to teen dating violence. An overview of the PA Model Dating Violence Prevention Policy will be discussed. Finally, the session will identify evidence-based programs and best practices to address this important issue.
