Did you know that the state of Pennsylvania has special programs called “waivers” to help people with an intellectual or developmental disability and/or on the autism spectrum live in their homes and communities?
If you are a person with an intellectual or developmental disability and/or on the austism spectrum, or if you care for or work with someone with an intellectual disability and/or on the austism spectrum, join us Friday, February 4, 2:30 – 3:30 pm to learn more about how waiver programs can help you.
David Gates, Senior Attorney and Director of Policy at the Pennsylvania Health Law Project will explain how children and adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or on the autism spectrum can obtain supports to remain in the community and meet their life goals. The presentation will cover eligibility, the application process, the waiting list, differences between the programs, what is covered, and how you get it.
