There’s a lot of buzz (and worry) right now in the nonprofit sector about the Executive Orders and legal developments in the courts and their impact on charitable organizations. Organizations are racing to understand whether they ought to be concerned about losing their federal tax-exempt status, whether revocation of their exemptions based on their missions not being aligned with the “national interest” would be legal, and what they ought to be focusing on and doing strategically to plan and prepare.
