Webinar: How Your Institution Can Support Community-Engaged Transition Plans – Oct 14
Posted by Campus Compact on October 8, 2024
Join the University of Maryland’s Center for Democracy and Civic Engagement and Maryland’s Secretary of Appointments Tisha Edwards as they introduce the components of the Civic Transition’s Toolkit. This toolkit is inspired by the Moore-Miller gubernatorial transition team in Maryland, whose unique approach created a historically diverse and inclusive transition that engaged the public at every step.
Learn how the University of Maryland worked with the Moore-Miller gubernatorial campaign to implement this toolkit and the lessons they learned along the way. In addition, learn how your university/college can engage local and state elected officials in utilizing this toolkit during the crucial months before and during the transition.
Attendees will gain valuable insights into how to use this toolkit to support an inclusive transition in their state, city, or local community.
Date and Time: Monday, October 14, 2024, 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
