During the last two decades, the higher mortality rate among Black Americans resulted in more than 1.6 million premature deaths compared to the White population.
On Thursday, June 29 at 9:00 a.m. ET, join Washington Post Live for conversations with Rachel L. Levine, assistant secretary for health; Thomas LaVeist, dean of the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine; Kortney James, pediatric nurse practitioner at the UCLA National Clinician Scholars Program; and Natalie Hernandez, executive director of the Morehouse School of Medicine Center for Maternal Health Equity, who will examine the medical toll of racial inequality and ways to address health care disparities.
