Lorraine T. Dean, ScD, is a social epidemiologist who examines how privilege and disadvantage influence chronic disease. Dr. Dean leads a lab that investigates disparities through the social determinants of health and teaches an award-winning course on this topic. Dr. Dean has an extensive background in research, health policy, and evaluation that has had a lasting impact on legislation and population health.
