Webinar: Getting Serious about Cyber Security – May 8
Posted by The Nonprofit Center on February 12, 2019
This Webinar is presented by Kreischer Miller, a leading independent accounting, tax, and advisory firm serving Greater Philadelphia and the Lehigh Valley.
No surprise that cyber attacks and scams are on the rise and nonprofits are not immune. There are reported cases of even small nonprofits having data stolen from their servers and held for ransom. As a sector, we rely upon public confidence and donor trust, which means a cyber security breach could be fatal, especially for small organizations.
Would your organization and its reputation be able to survive such an attack? How do you maintain cyber security while still being transparent and accessible to your supporters and community? Do you need cyber liability insurance? Are board members liable?
If you handle any sensitive data such as client records, employee information (social security numbers, driver’s licenses), donor records, process donations (credit cards) or event registrations online, have confidential emails or other sensitive information and transactions, you need to take steps to protect your organization, its stakeholders and its integrity.
When: May 8, 2019, noon to 1 pm
