Laws that threaten free expression, diversity, and inclusion in higher education are now in force in 14 states, with many more expected to be introduced in the coming legislative session. Join us for a conversation with Jeremy C. Young, Freedom to Learn Program Director at PEN America, to learn more about the landscape of legislation censoring faculty speech, restricting DEI initiatives, and regulating curricula and university governance. Over one hour, find out more about the existing and potential consequences of this legislation, how campuses are responding, and suggested responses in the year ahead.
During the session, attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions.
