Strengthening the Pipeline Through Community Partnerships: Engaging Urban Schools & Communities
Wed, September 19, 2018 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM EDT
Join this webinar on September 19 to learn about the University of Michigan’s (UM) new initiative aimed at increasing access and success for low-income students in urban communities. The Engaging Urban Schools and Communities Initiative recognizes that academic, financial, and socio-emotional support are all critical for the retention and persistence of low-income students, especially at four-year public institutions. In this pilot program, UM seeks to build strategic partnerships with key stakeholders locally and nationally within the college access community. This webinar will also highlight the ways low-income students are already supported at UM through transition-to-college programming, one-on-one mentoring, and summer bridge programs.
