Webinar: Big Changes to Student Loans: What You Must Do Now to Protect Your Income & Rights – Mar 5
Posted by Mayor's Office of Eucation on March 3, 2026
There are big changes happening to student loans that affect borrowers. Some borrowers, especially parents who took out loans to pay for their kids’ education, may be required to take immediate steps to keep the right to affordable repayment. Many borrowers are also behind on payments and must act now to avoid collections.
Join us for a webinar about what to do to stay eligible for Income-Driven Repayment (IDR) plans, make progress toward loan forgiveness, and avoid collection through tax refund intercepts and wage garnishment—whether you’re a defaulted borrower, a Parent PLUS borrower, or simply navigating the new system.
This webinar, hosted by the Mayor’s Office of Education and Office of Community Empowerment, will feature a presentation from consumer rights attorneys at Community Legal Services of Philadelphia.
Date and Time: March 5, 12:00 PM
