Webcast of ?Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Beyond Summit? Available
Municipal leaders can now watch a webcast of sessions from the recent ?EITC and Beyond Summit,? which took place in San Francisco on July 11-13. Co-sponsored by United Way of America and the YEF Institute, the Summit brought together more than 350 city officials, United Way leaders, and corporate and community partners to strengthen national and local partnerships to help families achieve financial stability. The event highlighted innovative efforts by cities and United Ways to help low-income residents claim the EITC, access mainstream financial services, build savings and assets, and avoid predatory lenders. This fall, the YEF Institute plans to host an audioconference on Sept. 20 on partnering with United Ways and a Nov. 15 audioconference on helping families build assets.
