Senior center plans weatherization training
Center in the Park will present a free demonstration on staying warm while conserving energy and saving money on Friday, January 23rd at 1:30pm.
At the workshop, participants will learn how to install weatherization materials and find out what resources are available and what the new rules are for conservation and energy assistance programs. Everyone who attends will receive free weatherization materials.
Center in the Park’s housing counselor, social services staff, and representatives of the Energy Coordinating Agency will conduct the workshop and be available to provide information and referrals and will help you to sign up for energy assistance programs.
The Stay Warm in Winter Workshop will be held at the Center in the Park Auditorium, 5818 Germantown Avenue. The workshop is free, but advance registration is requested. Call Michelle Brix at 215-849-5100.
