Walgreens funds faith-based nonprofits
Walgreens provides funding to faith-based groups, with those focusing on health receiving preference.
The pharmacy chain focuses its corporate giving on health care, including improved access, pharmacy education and mentoring programs, but will consider civic and community outreach and emergency and disaster relief efforts.
In addition to funding faith-based groups, the chain funds national nonprofits focused on single diseases, including heart disease, arthritis and cancer and meets secular funding needs through United Way contributions.
