SALARY: $30,000
POSITION REPORTING: Director, Voter Services
SUMMARY:
The Outreach Coordinator will work closely with the Voter Services Director and other key staff to increase education, awareness and outreach in the Montgomery County community for the purpose of increasing poll worker outreach, voter participation and voter education.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
•Assist the Director in public appearances and speaking engagements
•Develop list of CBO’s, Schools and businesses to build relationships to enhance purpose
•Advance Voter Services goals and strategies, especially related to community outreach resource development and partnership development
•Support the purpose, goals, strategies, partners and successes of Voter Services of Montgomery County
•Represent Voter Services as a speaker at County and community functions and events when Director is unavailable
•Educate public, private, and nonprofit stakeholders about the purpose, value, and impact of Voter Services through speaking engagements, workshops, information meetings, etc…
•Participate in regional and local coalitions and collaborative that further the goals of Voter services
•Participate in online and social media conversations about Voter Services
•Develop strong relationships and maintain ongoing communications with Voter Services community partners
•Assist in the design and management of content for Voter services publications, press releases, website and social media networks
•Develop an internal resource guide of potential election day workers
•Create online newsletter and/or communications for the community at large
•Develop strategic partnerships with government, philanthropic, nonprofit, and community partners
•Other Duties as assigned

•Bachelor’s Degrees (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited four year college or university preferred
•Related experience and/or training required
•Ability to write reports, correspondence, and manage multiple relationships
•Ability to get along and work effectively with others
•Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, governmental officials, and the general public
•Demonstrates knowledge and expertise in: ◦community outreach/asset mapping

•Knowledge of internet software, social media tools, and Microsoft Office Suite of Products
•Knowledge of basic office equipment ◦Internet and email
◦Copy and scanner equipment
•A valid drivers license and proof of current insurance
