Voter Mobilization Volunteer Trainings – Center for Progressive Leadership

This fall thousands of progressive volunteers will be working to turn out voters on Election Day. To support that effort the Center for Progressive Leadership will be hosting a series of one-day Voter Mobilization Volunteer Trainings. Through a series of interactive, highly focused training sessions with top progressive organizers, we’ll be preparing activists to be effective in communicating a progressive message to voters and ensuring they make their voices heard in this critical election.

At the end of the training you’ll have an opportunity to sign up as a volunteer on voter mobilization activities in your community!

Training Dates & Locations:

– Ann Arbor, Michigan: Saturday, September 18th
– Washington, DC: Saturday, October 2nd
– Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: Saturday, October 2nd
– Philadelphia, PA: Sunday, October 3rd

Progressive Experts Will Teach Sessions On:

– The basics of campaign field tactics and strategy
– Communicating with voters about progressive issues
– Mastering door-to-door, phone and electronic outreach & organizing
– Learning the legal details of voter registration and voter rights
– Strategizing on methods to be an effective progressive electoral activist

Logistics:

– Cost: $20 in advance, $15 for students. Includes lunch and materials
