WePAC Elementary School Readers & Library Volunteers
Do you love to read?  Do you believe it’s important that young folks learn to read?

Be part of a school library team and help make reading exciting for kids – no library experience required!

WePAC — the West Philadelphia Alliance for Children—is a non-profit that re-opens and updates closed school libraries, trains unpaid volunteer teams and donates books to school libraries.  We have donated over 35,000 books since 2009!  WePAC volunteers read aloud with classes, check out books and do fun literacy activities together during the school day.  We have volunteer opportunities anytime from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Tuesday to Friday.

Programs are just getting started, and we are looking for excellent team members to join.  If you want to make a difference for students in West Philadelphia – you can!

Learn more at a WePAC new volunteer orientation:

Wednesday, October 17 @ 10:00 a.m., WePAC office (Powelton)
Tuesday, October 23 @ 1:00 p.m., WePAC office (Powelton)

* Mobility note: some schools are wheelchair accessible; however other locations do not have ramps, elevators and fully accessible facilities. Please call for information.

Email info@wepac.org or call Mica at 215-779-8359 to register for orientation or for more information.  We can also schedule an orientation for your group – please ask!
