Volunteers Needed, Urban Voters Campaign
Posted by on April 16, 2004
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for the Urban Voters Campaign – a coalition of civic, community, parent and community organizations working to increase voter education, registration and turnout in Philadelphia.
The Urban Voter?s Campaign is in full swing with our voter registration / empowerment / mobilization work in Philadelphia’s high schools and college campuses. Last year we covered dozens of high schools, had a strong presence on the region?s colleges and universities and registered hundreds of young people for Philadelphia’s mayoral election. Now it is time to expand our work toensure that many more participate in this critical presidential General election!
If you would like to serve as a volunteer at a high school assembly, a college campus or serve as a speaker, please respond to this e-mail (please leave a contact number) or contact Campaign?s volunteer coordinator, Ruth Ezekiel with the League of Women Voters of Philadelphia (215-927-2690).
