Volunteers needed to work with older youth, Hopeworks ‘N Camden
Posted by Hopeworks 'n Camden on July 4, 2016
Call for volunteer tutors with special education background!
Do you want to make a real difference in the life of an out of school youth who is working hard to improve their career options? Hopeworks ‘N Camden is looking for volunteer tutors to work with 17-24 year old youth who were unsuccessful in traditional classrooms but are motivated to find a path to a sustainable career and future! Many of our youth leave school with unidentified learning disabilities, which leaves them feeling that failure is their destiny. BUT NOT ANYMORE! Hopeworks’ rigorous technology training program re-engages youth in their learning and in their dreams and provides opportunities for success.
Hopeworks needs volunteers with a background in educating youth with learning disabilities to help them help themselves! If you have an hour or two per week to change a young person’s life – please contact Dana Covert, Academic Success Director, at [email protected].
Hopeworks ‘N Camden is a nonprofit that has been working for over 15 years with Camden youth. Utilizing an advanced training curriculum in web design/development, GIS and Salesforce, Hopeworks works with youth 14-23 to get back in school and find a safe pathway to their future.
