volunteers needed, Read for the Record
Posted by Jumpstart on September 28, 2015
Annually, Jumpstart hosts a national event called Jumpstart’s Read for the Record®. Jumpstart’s Read for the Record® highlights the importance of high-quality early education in America by mobilizing millions of children and adults to celebrate literacy by participating in the largest shared reading experience. In 2014, more than 2.3 million people participated in the campaign. The campaign has gained national exposure in media outlets including NBC’s TODAY Show, People, The Wall Street Journal, and The Huffington Post. This year on October 22nd, people across the country will read Not Norman: A Goldfish Story by Kelly Bennett.
In Philadelphia, we are trying to engage as many people in the city to participate in this national event and spread the word about the importance of high-quality early education and literacy. We would love to have you join us on this day. If you or any of your staff would like to participate in the event with us, here is the registration form to complete: http://goo.gl/forms/VgAC78mqvV.
