volunteers needed, Philly Free Streets
Posted by City of Philadelphia on July 16, 2018
I’m excited to announce that we are just a few weeks away from Philly Free Streets! Philly Free Streets, the biggest block party of the summer, provides Philadelphians with the opportunity to walk, bike, dance, picnic, and play freely on a car-free 8-mile stretch. This year’s event will be taking place on Saturday, August 11thon North Broad Street from City Hall to Broad and Erie from 8:00am-1:00pm.
We are still looking for volunteers to ensure everything is going smoothly on the day of the event. Our SERVE staff is looking for opportunities to:
- Attend community meetings to share this volunteer opportunity and answer questions
- Table at community events
- Drop off printed flyers and sign-in sheets to collect prospective volunteer information
Please email Jeanette.Baviwidinsi@phila.gov or Jaclyn.Boone@phila.gov to set up a time for your members to learn more about this volunteer opportunity. Interested volunteers 13 and up can also register using this link.
