Volunteers Needed: Philadelphia Flower Show

Posted by on January 27, 2006

The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society’s Philadelphia Flower Show is made possible in part through the work of thousands of volunteers. While volunteers do many different tasks, I specifically would like to invite you to join the Gardener’s Studio team.

The Gardener’s Studio is a stage on the Flower Show floor where lectures and demonstrations happen. Volunteers help the speakers set up, clean up and in other ways help in the running of the programs.

This year’s show “Enchanted Spring” will be March 5th through March 12th with the members’ preview on March 4th.

If you would like to participate as a Gardener’s Studio volunteer please contact us as soon as possible as shifts are limited. Be sure to indicate any dates and times that you are available and your phone number, especially if leaving a message on the machine. As always volunteers will be chosen on a first come basis.

For first time volunteers and anyone desiring a refresher course there will be a volunteer orientation at the Pennsylvania Convention Center prior to the Flower Show’s opening. Please choose from either Wednesday, March 1st 12-1:30pm or Thursday, March 2nd 5:30-7pm. This orientation is mandatory for new volunteers!

Contact: Mindy Maslin at (215) 988-8844 (phone), (215) 988-8810(fax), or E-Mail [email protected]

We look forward to working with you this Spring!
