Volunteers Needed: K-8 Tutors for Lea School
Posted by University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education on November 22, 2022
University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education (GSE) is helping launch a new tutoring initiative at the Henry C. Lea School, which is slated to begin early next semester (Spring 2023). We are currently in the process of recruiting a corps of tutors from across the university and students from outside of Penn as volunteers.
Tutors will support grades K-2 and 5, in reading/writing or math. Tutors do not need previous experience; GSE will provide all training, as well as ongoing tutor support. This is a great way to get involved in the West Philly community, and gain some great skills in the process.
Please check out our flyer (linked here) and if interested complete the interest form. Students are welcome to be directly in touch with the tutoring program coordinator, Leah Schatz at [email protected].
