Volunteers needed for large employment fair

Hire! Philly is an employer-led coalition to help connect opportunity seekers ages 16-35 to employment opportunities. Hire! Philly will come together with local organizations, nonprofits and service providers to host a day-long job and resource fair. The fair will provide connections to jobs/career opportunities, resume and interview preparation, wraparound resources, professional development experiences, workshops, and more!
INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING?
We are looking for volunteers to support the Job and Resource Fair! Volunteer roles are listed below. There will be three shifts to choose from; 7am-1:00pm, 12:00pm-5:30pm or 7am-5pm. Snacks, breakfast, lunch, beverages and t-shirts provided!
Experience Ambassadors: Fair guides who are dedicated to interacting 1:1 with attendees to help guide them to the resources, information and/or employers they are interested in
Registration: Register or check in attendees as they arrive using iPad. High energy and welcoming volunteers needed!
Volunteer & Staff Check-In: Check in volunteers and event staff by confirming their role and shift and distribute t-shirts and training materials
Exterior Experience: Welcome attendees as they arrive at the various entrances of the convention center and help with directions
Internal Floaters: Move around the Fair space, interacting with attendees, answering questions and serving as a source of information for volunteers
Mock Interviews: Conduct 15-20 minute practice interviews with attendees and provide them with constructive feedback. Templates provided
Resume Station: Help attendees build or improve their resume. Templates provided
Application Station: Help attendees complete online job applications at a computer station
We are in need of volunteers to help with mock interviews, job applications and resume reviewing. I’ve attached the volunteer roles for your review. We have three different volunteer shifts: 7:00am-1:00pm, 12:00pm-5:30pm and 7:00am-5:30pm, breakfast/lunch and snacks will be provided.
