Volunteers needed for Fall Tree Planting, Tree Tenders
Posted by on October 14, 2013
If you love trees, consider volunteering to help with the East Falls Tree Tenders fall planting. Forty bare root street trees will be planted by Tree Tenders volunteers on Saturday November 23, 2013 (rain or shine) throughout East Falls. Under the direction of PHS-trained crew leaders, volunteers will work in groups of three or four to dig tree pits and plant trees. Gloves and tools will be provided. Volunteers will meet at 10:00 a.m. at the East Falls Presbyterian Church at Midvale Avenue and Vaux Street, for instructions, to form groups, and to receive tree site addresses.
Trees will be provided by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society’s Plant One Million program.
