Volunteers needed for food education company! Food Nerd Jr. is an up and coming food education company who uses hands-on STEAM activities to help children, ages 4-12, discover foods. We are a team of people who believes that everyone can be “foodwise” regardless of age, background, education or economic status.
We have multiple opportunities for volunteers this spring, including: outdoor events, workshop assistance, and program support. If you love food and would love to have a place to geek out with other food nerds, please reach out to us.
To learn more, please check out our website, http://www.foodnerdjr.com. Please note that we emphasize foundational food education over nutrition. While health and nutrition are a part of our lessons, they are not our sole focus.
Open to volunteers from ages 16 and up (we can sign off on service hours). Background checks dependent on volunteer opportunity. We need volunteers for our exhibit booth at the May 2nd Science Festival!
