Volunteers Needed, Financial Aid Workshops

We have completed the planning and are looking forward to our FAFSA Completion Workshops at Community College of Philadelphia, Business and Industry Center, 18th & Callowhill Streets, and Delaware County Community College, 901 S. Media Line Road, Media, PA on Saturday, January 28, 2006.

We are in need of volunteers to assistance us at both sites. We are asking the volunteers to volunteer for at least one hour. Refreshments will be provided.

We have send out mailings to all of the high schools in Philadelphia and Delaware counties.

We are planning to add workshops through our partnership with Tanya Ruley (OCCA) in the near future.

We have two additional workshops planned for Monday, February 13, 2006 at the Chester County Intermediate Unit, 455 Boot Road, Downington, PA 5-9pm and Thursday, February 23, 2006 at the Delaware County Intermediate Unite, 200 Yale Avenue, Morton PA at 5:00pm to 9:00pm.

At each site we will have applications to a $250.00 FAFSA Completion Scholarship. Two winners will be picked from the Philadelphia site and one each from the other sites. A FAFSA Application must be completion in order to participate in the contest. Winners will be notified on March 16, 2006.
