volunteers needed, EducationWorks
Posted by EducationWorks on December 15, 2014
EducationWorks is looking for volunteers to support K-8 grade students during the homework help portion of its after school program.
Volunteers will work with students one-on-one and in small groups to help answer questions, read directions, check for accuracy and completion, etc. If volunteers have special skills or interests (arts, knitting, gardening, cooking, etc.) that they would be interested in sharing with students, there is opportunity for that as well.
Volunteers are expected to be available from 3-6pm for at least one hour, one day per week on an ongoing basis.
Programs are held at 15 locations across Philadelphia.
For more information, call Candace Eaton at 267-968-8073.
