Volunteers needed, Bartram High Career Fair
Posted by on March 31, 2006
Dear Friend,
The students and staff of John Bartram High School would be honored if you would participate in our annual Career Day, on Tuesday May 2, 2006. The theme this year will be ?Focused on the Future?.
Because of the limited exposure to various careers that many of our students have had, the goal is to expose them to as many careers as possible on all levels on this day.
Please prepare to share with the students, your occupational description, annual wage data for an entry, average and experienced employee, the training/educational level required, the nature of the work ? a typical day, human relations, etc.
The day will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a motivational speaker. At 10:00 students will proceed to the gym for the fair or to classrooms to receive speakers. The day should end about 1:00 p.m.
You may participate in the Fair portion of the day, where students will visit an area reserved for you to obtain hard copy information about your career or to ask individual questions about the career. Or you may choose to visit small groups of students in classrooms with a presentation of about 35 ? 40 minutes. Please indicate your choice with your confirmation.
If you are interested and can commit to the cause, please respond to Robin Jackson, Principal Intern via email at [email protected], or by phone at (215) 492-6450 ext. 236 by April 7, 2006. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Robin J. Jackson
