Volunteers Needed for Schools!

Banking on Our Future is a major national urban delivery platform for financial literacy in the country, having educated more than 160,000 youth utilizing more than 1,200 volunteer banker-teacher HOPE Corps members, and operating in 10 major U.S. cities and the District of Columbia. Our program specializes in delivering financial education programs to children in the City of Philadelphia, with potential growth opportunities in surrounding areas. We seek to connect local volunteers to local schools and community based organizations to help improve volunteer visibility in the local community. We are seeking volunteers who are willing and able to commit to helping within the Philadelphia School District for the 2005-2006 school year, with focus in the North and West Regions of the school district. However, if there is a volunteer interested in helping out in a different part of the city, we will make every effort (but cannot guarantee) to accommodate.

One 90 minute training session will be provided before volunteer is sent into the schools. Volunteers with financial or educational background preferred, but not required for this opportunity. We are looking for anyone who is willing to make a difference in the lives of Philadelphia youth.
