Volunteer/Internship Opportunities at After School Program in West Kensington!
Work with Philadelphia’s urban youth in a creative, fun, energetic environment! Give SUPPORT to young people at the Norris Square Neighborhood Project so that they can grow up to become leaders!
NSNP welcomes those who have experience working with youth (especially in communities of color) to volunteer with our After School Program!
· The program serves youth K-12th grade Monday-Friday 3:00-6:00.
· Volunteers assist Group Leaders by helping to supervise and facilitate projects (ex: art, cooking, play) with youth, and provide homework help and mentorship.
· Typically volunteers come in 1-2 days per week. Volunteer schedules can be 3:00-6:00 or 4:00-5:30, depending on availability.
· Sign up now to volunteer September – December 2012.
· This experience can also count as an Internship for your school, OR there are more committed and involved Internship opportunities that you may apply for.
· Email volunteers@myneighborhoodproject.org for an application, resumes are appreciated!
The mission of NSNP is to nurture and actively involve neighborhood children and their families in learning responsibility for self, culture, community, and environment.
