Volunteer with MANNA: Mondays & Evening Shifts Are Back!
Posted by MANNA on May 18, 2021
MANNA’s small professional staff and our amazing volunteers prepare and deliver more than 35,000 nutritious meals each week to individuals and families living with cancer, diabetes, heart disease, renal disease, HIV/AIDS, and other life-threatening illnesses. We do this to ensure that every sick neighbor gets three MANNA meals a day, seven days a week – all free of charge.
As a designated essential service, MANNA has been open and operational for the entirety of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now more than ever before, our clients are relying on our services to stay healthy. In 2020, MANNA served more than 4,600 clients while our volunteer numbers dropped by over 50%. We are so grateful to our incredible team of dedicated volunteers–both new and old–who have contributed over 58,000 hours of service since March 2020.
Come Volunteer with Us!
We would love to have your group join us at MANNA for volunteer service! Ideal group sizes are 8-12, but we can always accommodate larger groups. MANNA follows all CDC and City of Philadelphia guidance to keep our community safe. Check out our newest safety video here! Volunteering as a small group has been a valuable way for our corporate, school, and community groups to safely connect during this isolating time.
Our current volunteer schedule is as follows:
- Monday-Wednesday: 7-10am, 10am-1pm, 1-4pm & 5-8pm
- Thursday: 7-10am, 10am-1pm, & 1-4pm
- Friday: 7-10am & 10am-1pm
