Center for Literacy needs volunteer tutors
The Center for Literacy is in need of volunteer tutors.
Tutors can help someone read to their child for the first time, get a better job, or go on to post- secondary education or training. Volunteer tutors will not only positively affect someone’s life, but will also gain experience in education, and build valuable rewarding relationships.
Tutors are asked to make a six month commitment working one-on-one or in small groups with adult students. CFL provides training, all necessary materials, a place to meet, and ongoing support. Tutors serve throughout Philadelphia, although tutors interested in serving those in Mt. Airy and Germantown are especially needed.
Visit here and register for an orientation.
