Volunteer Tutor Info Session & Orientation, Lutheran Settlement House

Posted by on March 05, 2012

At Lutheran Settlement House, we recently re-designed our Adult Education Programming and we are excited to get the news out about our upcoming Volunteer Tutor Info Session & Orientation.

We invite you to spread the word that LSH will be hosting a Volunteer Tutor Info Session and Orientation on Monday, March 12th from 6:30 – 8pm.   We will discuss our newly re-designed Adult Literacy Tutoring program and participants will have the opportunity to join our brand new volunteer tutor team.   We have also scheduled an In-House Tutor Training for Wednesday, March 14th from 6:30 – 8pm.  Attending this training is a requirement for new volunteers who haven’t tutored with us in the past.  Don’t worry, we’ll keep it fun & quick, and it will be a great opportunity for new tutors to get some valuable tips and tricks for working one-on-one with adult learners.  We will also connect attendees with additional free training resources, both through MCOL and online, to help them feel confident in their tutoring skills.

Please help us by sharing the following write-up through your organization’s network, e-newsletter, event calendar, listserv, etc…
