Help Working Families. Build Your Resume. Volunteer at Tax Time!

The Campaign for Working Families invites you to join the team of over 700 volunteers to save working families thousands of dollars in tax preparation fees. Learn how to provide free tax preparation or help in other ways!

As a volunteer, you can gain valuable skills and work experience that can enhance your resume. Volunteer tax preparers receive professional training and IRS certification. No experience necessary; all training provided. There are many ways that you can also help at the tax sites: greet customers, screen applications for benefits such as SNAP, LIHEAP, assist with FAFSA applications, help families purchase US saving bonds, open pre-paid debit cards, and organize paperwork.

Visit cwfphilly.org or call 215-454-6483 to sign up to volunteer with The Campaign for Working Families at a Philadelphia tax site near you.

Since 2003, The Campaign for Working Families has brought $235.9 million in state and federal refunds to working families throughout Philadelphia. Visit our website http://cwfphilly.org for more information.

About the Campaign for Working Families:

Now approaching its 13th year, the Campaign provides free tax filing assistance so Philadelphia families can maximize federal and state tax credits without paying sky-high fees to commercial tax preparers. CWF operates 20 community-based tax sites offering e-filing, direct deposit, FAFSA, public benefit screening, saving bonds and pre-paid debit cards to help clients save money. Over the past 12 years, the Campaign has prepared and e-filed 147,335 tax returns and brought $235.9 million in federal refunds to working families throughout Philadelphia. The Campaign’s free tax prep services saved these families an additional $28 million in fees and charges for tax preparation, check cashing and loans.
