Volunteer Mentors needed, Olney Charter High School

Olney Charter High school is looking for eligible encouraging individuals to become inspiring Mentors to our students. We are hosting a Mentor Mixer event on October 17th, at Reserve Wine Bar and Lounge, 724 Arch St., Philadelphia PA from 6:00 to 9:30 PM.
It is a happy hour networking event, we are asking people to sign up to become mentors for Olney Charter High School. The event is free to people on the guest list. Please feel free to spread the word and Click the link below to RSVP through Event Bright:

A survey conducted by The Commonwealth Fund found:

  • Three-quarters of the mentors surveyed reported that their experience had had a “very positive” effect on their lives. They felt that mentoring provided a break from their busy professional lives and a chance to give something back.
  • Eighty-three percent indicated that they learned or gained something personally from their mentoring experience, including feeling that they were a better person, increased patience, friendship, a feeling of effectiveness and a chance to acquire skills.
