Volunteer for Philadelphia Cares About Fairmount Park Day
Posted by on April 9, 2004
Imagine a city without parks…
More important, imagine OUR city without parks?
No wedding pictures in the Azalea Gardens, no bocce ball in Marconi Plaza and no blading along West River Drive.
Philadelphia Cares, in partnership with the Fairmount Park Commission, invites you to VOLUNTEER to beautify your favorite city park.
Fairmount Park is one of the world?s largest urban park systems, covering over 8,900 acres. As you can imagine, it requires a lot of TLC from its friends to keep it clean and beautiful.
Green thumb not required!
Whether an individual or a group, your hands can sow the seeds of love for Fairmount Park and preserve it for generations to come.
