Lights on Afterschool 2019
Volunteer Opportunity: ASAS Philadelphia & Camden is hosting an environmentally-focused service project on October 24, 2019 from 3:30-5:30pm at our Mastery Charter Molina Upper Elementary location. This event will celebrate celebrate Lights on Afterschool – the largest celebration highlighting the need for afterschool programs in the country!
We are looking for organizations, schools, and companies to help us collect used sneakers to create garden planters for our school sites as well as to take to a center that takes shoes and repurpose them to make playground turf. If your company/organization would be willing to do a (used) sneaker drive on our behalf, volunteer at the October event, or sponsor the program, please reach out to karen.medina@as-as.org.
