Volunteer Coordinator, Community Learning Center

Community Learning Center, an outcome-driven nonprofit adult literacy organization, seeks a volunteer coordinator, up 28 hours/week, to manage its volunteer tutor program, based primarily at its West Philadelphia and Germantown locations.
Responsibilities
• Recruit and train new tutors on an ongoing basis
• Organize professional development for tutors
• Match tutors with learners
• Monitor tutor instruction
• Evaluate and provide tutors with constructive feedback
• Conduct assessment of tutored learners
• Manage assessment, attendance, and other data relating to tutored students
Requirements
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in education
• 1+ year experience managing volunteers
• Initiative
• Resourcefulness
• Good organizational, writing, and computer skills
• Detail oriented
