Volunteer Benefits Screeners:  You help at tax time can save working families hundreds of dollars year-round.

The Campaign for Working Families operates free tax preparation sites across Philadelphia for low-income working families.  This year we hope to connect our tax customers to public benefits and services that may help them increase their financial stability.

We are currently looking for volunteers interested in using an online portal to screen our customers and register them for benefits and services for which they are eligible.  This is especially important in these rough economic times and because eligibility has recently changed for many benefits.   With your help, a family could receive a few extra hundred dollars each month with the new Food Stamp eligibility.
