Free Expungement Clinic with the Young Lawyers Division
November 12, 2016 | 10 am – 1 pm
6 locations across Philadelphia
If you meet certain requirements, you are eligible to have prior arrests and/or convictions expunged from your legal record and/or sealed from the general public. This can make it easier to get lasting employment and housing. These services are provided by volunteer attorneys and are free of charge. Space is limited. Volunteers Needed for Expungement Clinic
The Young Lawyers Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association is seeking at least 100 attorneys and law students to process petitions on November 12, 2016, which will require a commitment of a one-hour training and four hours the day of the clinic. We are also seeking at least 25 attorneys to handle subsequent hearings to be scheduled on a later day reserved by the court solely for expungement and sealing petitions, which will require an additional estimated six-hour commitment.
