VITA Kick-Off in Delaware County

VITA Kick-Off
DelCoAD is kicking off this year’s free VITA tax season for Delaware County residents on Friday, January 29, 2010 at 2:30pm at the Delaware County CareerLink.
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is designed to maximize tax refunds for eligible residents, those earning less than $50,000, by helping them access tax credits such as the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).
Each year, millions of Americans are eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). Unfortunately, many do not realize they qualify or do not know how to claim the credit. The IRS estimates that only 75-85 percent of eligible taxpayers file for the credit, leaving 36 billion dollars unclaimed every year.
This year’s VITA kick-off celebration will provide individuals and agencies with more information about the VITA program and the EITC.
To RSVP for the event, please contact Joyce Lacy at [email protected] or (610) 996-4652.
