Taller Puertorriqueño is seeking artists interested in teaching part-time classes in the visual and performing arts to children and youth ages
7-15
Position: Visual and Performing Arts (Drama, Dance and/or Singing) Teaching Artists
Location: Taller’s Summer Camp Arts Education Programs.
Duration: Summer Paid Positions.
Description: The artist(s) will lead visual art or performing arts (dance, drama and/or singing) classes to groups of 15-20 youth and teens. This person will develop lesson plans; prepare materials for classes and track students participation and progress.
Requirements:
• Practical experience teaching visual/performance arts and/or accredited visual /performance arts degree.
• Experience in visual arts production or performance: painting, drawing, photography, ceramics, printmaking, computer graphics, drama, dance or choir/singing.
• Knowledge of Project Based Learning (PBL) techniques and Spanish language; Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
• Clearances: Current FBI check, Current Criminal Check Record and PA Child Abuse Statement.
