Visual Arts as Sources for Teaching (VAST) Summer Educator Series – Jul 13-17

Posted by Philadelphia Museum of Art on May 26, 2026

Spend a week at the Philadelphia Museum of Art with a cohort of fellow educators, immersing yourself in the Visual Arts as Sources for Teaching (VAST).

This year we’ll be exploring A Nation of Artists, the reinstallation of the museum’s American Art collection, as part of the celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary. Using art as a catalyst, we’ll discuss themes such as creativity and process, freedom and enslavement, climate change, democracy, and citizenship.

Dates and Times: Monday, July 13 – Friday, July 17; 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Cost: $200 (free to educators in the School District of Philadelphia)

Register here.
