Community School Outreach – Lehigh Valley
Member Duties : The VISTA will help in developing a sustainable elementary to middle school transition plan; continue the media plan to communicate school success; develop a system to address chronic absenteeism/attendance; and build capacity with program delivery. United Way Community Schools are the heart of the community and the VISTA engaged in this project will play an important role in educational change.
Program Benefits : Choice of Education Award or End of Service Stipend, Health Coverage, Training, Relocation Allowance, Childcare assistance if eligible, Living Allowance.
Terms : Prohibits paid work outside of the sponsoring agency at any time.

Service Description : The United Way Community School initiative is developing a sustainable system to attract & engage individuals, agencies, communities of faith, businesses and families to provide resources to the students and families of multiple Title I Schools in Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton, PA.
