– Demystify the language and process behind grant writing
– Learn how to find and submit grants

– Learn about local arts funding opportunities
– Receive personalized feedback on your grant proposals (bring 1 page for funders to review)
– Practice reading and scoring actual grant applications

– Learn why and how to use budgets for personal and project use
– Look at sample budgets and learn how to interpret the story behind the numbers
– Create a simplified budget tailored to your goals for this year

– Identify marketing techniques for building and keeping an audience
– Talk about the advantages of using various social media channels
– Troubleshoot issues with audience development that you may have had in the past

Crowdfunding
– Learn how to tell if crowdfunding is right for your project
– Discover the pros and cons of crowdfunding platforms
– Hear from a panel of artists who have run successful crowdfunding campaigns

Creating an Artist Statement 
– Identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and potential threats of a new project
– Think through the components of your project and its goals
– Hone in on the details of your program or project and begin a draft project plan

Website Design Basics
– Learn about different software and platforms you can use to design and host your website
– Plan the basic building blocks of your website
– Look at other artist websites to learn what aesthetic appeals to you

Somatic Practice for Artists
– Connect with your body to support emotional well-being and clarity through all your badass work!
– Learn to sustain your energy by following your body’s needs and timing
– Organically awaken to your creativity and visions by listening to your body and heightening sensory awareness
