Virtual Workshops: Accessing Donor-Advised Funds – Nov 5 & 19
Posted by Nonprofit Center at La Salle University on November 4, 2025
Over $250 BILLION dollars is currently available to give through a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) in the U.S (National Philanthropic Trust, 2024 DAF Report). All this money is intended for charitable purposes, but how can your organization build a strategy to access money from these funds, especially at a time when many revenue sources are feeling scarce?
We are offering 2 FREE sessions to give you a deeper understanding of how DAFs work, how grants from DAFs are made, and how organizations can grow a DAF strategy to help diversify their revenue sources:
November 5, 2:30-3:45pm – Donor-Advised Funds: Meeting the Moment
This is a moderated panel that will explore the role of DAFs in this moment, how they are responding to sector-wide challenges, and how legislative changes are affecting DAFs. The panelists for this session are:
- Eileen Heisman, CEO, Heisman Advisory, LLC & Senior Fellow at Penn’s Center for High Impact Philanthropy
- Elaine Kenig, Chief Communication Officer, Vanguard Charitable
- Vik Dewan, Founding Partner of Doing Good. Well (Former CEO, Philadelphia Zoo)
November 19, 12-1pm – Activating Your Donor-Advised Fund Donor Base
Perry Monastero (RPM Consulting and Nonprofit Center affiliated consultant) and Fernando Gonzalez (National Philanthropic Trust) will help you understand how to engage with Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) donors, including: navigating DAF rules, guidelines, and best practices; leveraging DAFs to grow recurring, major, and planned giving; and encouraging DAF donors to give to your organization.
