Virtual Workshop: Creative Drama as Healing – Jan 20
Posted by Stockton Rush Bartol Foundation on January 11, 2022
Creative Drama is an improvisational, non-performative process in which participants are guided by a leader to imagine, enact and reflect upon human experiences. It is a powerful and transformative tool which augments the social, cognitive and emotional development of children.
Join us as we welcome Dr. Charru Sharma, currently in Philadelphia from India as a Fulbright Visiting Faculty at the University of Pennsylvania, who has employed and researched in the area of Creative Drama for the last 30 years with children in rural & urban settings, with pre-service and in-service teachers, with youth, parents, in communities. This interactive workshop will share strategies for creative drama, mindfulness, healing and reflection. Teaching artists in all disciplines are welcome.
Date and Time: Thursday, January 20, 2022, 6:30-8:30 PM
