Virtual Series on Racism and Aging: As the World Turns: Stories of Transformation – Dec 7
Posted by Penn’s Village on November 22, 2022
The Penn’s Village Inclusiveness and Diversity Committee is proud to present Dr. Kevin Ahmaad Jenkins, a two-time award-winning national journalist, health-disparities activist, and dynamic speaker, who will engage us in a talk focused on the effects of racism on aging and older adults.
Dr. Jenkins’ work centers on breaking the social stigmas relating to racial injustice in the fields of healthcare, organizational culture, and executive leadership. He has been commended for his analysis of the link between racial stress and vascular-based diseases.
Dr. Jenkins’ presentation will be the keynote for a series of Penn’s Village discussions planned for 2023 on themes such as confronting and righting effects of inequities in education, health and healthcare, earning power and lifelong wealth.
This event is free and open to the public.
Date and Time: Wednesday, December 07, 2022, 2:00-3:00 PM
